Stuttgart for a Day

Another day of travel, this time to Stuttgart.  We decided to split up as Stuttgart has two car museums and certain members of our travel party were very interested in visiting these.  Porsche and Mercedes-Benz both have factories and museums in Stuttgart.  Gary, Kyle, Steve, and Wanling opted to visit the Porsche Museum; Quinn, Carrie, and I explored the area and ended up at the Kunst Gallerie, a modern art museum where a special exhibit "Eat Art" was showing.  This exhibit was made of food and was commentary on food and the culture of food (we saw some pretty interesting and some pretty disgusting pieces in this exhibit).  We then met up for a delicious lunch which featured Schnitzel, Kartoffelpuffer und Apfelmuss (potato pancakes and applesauce), Schwäbische Maultaschen (a sort of ravioli filled with vegetables and meat) among other delicious foods.  The only travel glitch this day was having difficulty finding seats - but we eventually got to sit down and enjoy the scenic trip back to Frankfurt.

This is a wall of potato pancakes; check out the table to get the scale of the piece.
This art is made from a piece of salami.
 Some cars....
Some more cars (I am figuring these are Porsches)....
A Porsche police car, a Porsche 911 I am told.
After our sightseeing and museum-going we met back up for a delicious lunch.
 Steve, sampling brews.

The troops heading back to the train station.
