Marburg...such a Beautiful Town

Marburg is only an hour from Frankfurt, and is a lovely town and one of our favorite places.  Gary studied here in college (two times, actually).  His best college friend lived and studied here.  Gary and I lived here together in 1987, for 8 months.  This town is picture perfect, with the castle on the hill in the center of town, and the amazing Tudor-style buildings at every turn.  We enjoyed the scenic ride to Marburg, a hike up to the castle, bratwurst and french fries and glühwein at a local street stand, and a little shopping.  This was a lovely day.

Steve and Wanling were in fierce Bratwurst Competition.  They were constantly on the lookout for the next bratwurst stand, and kept a running ranking of "the best bratwurst they had eaten on the trip."

The Christmas Market was still going in Marburg - which is very unusual.  All the other markets we know about ended before Christmas.  This was great because Steve and Carrie got to experience a Christmas Market.
